Responsibilities or duties
- Construction of mechanical systems and equipment to engineering drawings.
- Fault-finding and diagnostics of mechanical equipment.
- Ability to work as part of a team but also on own initiative.
- To be able to prioritise and work to given timescales.
- To ensure quality standards are met.
Qualifications or requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Relevant Technical/Engineering Certificate – A recognised qualification in the related field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.).
- EIZ Registration – Must be registered with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
- Attested Qualifications – All academic and professional documents must be certified or attested by the appropriate authorities.
Experience needed
- 5 to 7 years of experience
Skills and knowledge
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Operate drilling machines and related machinery.
- Skills of assembles, installs, maintains and repairs
- Knowledge of standard drilling and taping
- Have an advanced knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes.
- Self-driven for progressive and continued learning and development.
- Experience of using hand and power tools.
