MECHANIC – 3 POSITIONS
Job Summary:
The Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing mining vehicles, heavy equipment, plant, and machinery to ensure reliable and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mining equipment and vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical faults and perform repairs efficiently.
Inspect machinery and identify potential mechanical problems before breakdowns occur.
Service engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brakes, and other mechanical components.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and servicing activities.
Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with safety procedures and manufacturer specifications.
Work closely with operators and supervisors to minimize equipment downtime.
Requirements:
Relevant mechanical qualification or trade certificate.
Previous experience working with heavy-duty or mining equipment is an advantage.
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills.
Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
