About the Role: Manager ICT Jobs in Lusaka

The Manager ICT will lead the planning, coordination, and management of all ICT projects and infrastructure within ZCCM-IH and its subsidiaries. The role ensures ICT initiatives support the group’s strategic objectives while maintaining security, reliability, and efficiency across all technology platforms. The successful candidate will oversee daily ICT operations, including network connectivity, application systems, and cybersecurity, ensuring all activities remain within approved budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of ICT strategies aligned with overall business goals.
• Establish and enforce ICT governance frameworks consistent with organizational policies.
• Lead the management of IT infrastructure, including desktops, servers, printing, VoIP/telephony, systems, and databases.
• Monitor emerging technologies and advise on their business impact.
• Implement cybersecurity measures and manage network security infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with data management practices and leverage data analytics for business insights.
• Manage ICT-related audits, risks, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee ICT projects to ensure delivery within scope, time, and budget.
• Maintain strong vendor and service provider relationships, including contract negotiations and SLA management.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans with effective capacity management.
• Create and maintain IT standards, documentation, and procedures for the ZCCM-IH group.
• Provide end-user support and training programs for ICT systems and applications.
• Assist in managing the ICT budget to ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent with at least five credits, including English and Mathematics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional membership with ICTAZ or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role within a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Relevant IT certifications in software/hardware, networking, communication, security, and IT governance frameworks such as COBIT or ITIL.
• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft, UNIX/Linux operating systems, CISCO technologies, UTM firewalls, and client/server hardware.
