Sanctuary Gardens Rehabilitation & Wellness Centre is seeking a reliable, responsible and trustworthy Maintenance Assistant to help maintain buildings, facilities and grounds and ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment for clients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out general maintenance, minor repairs and preventative tasks.
Maintain buildings, equipment, utilities and outdoor areas.
Assist with plumbing, basic electrical work and grounds maintenance.
Ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment for clients and staff.
Follow all health, safety, safeguarding and security procedures.
Requirements
Basic education with ability to read, write and maintain simple records.
Practical knowledge or experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical work or a related field.
Ability to safely use basic maintenance tools.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Reliable, responsible and trustworthy.
Desirable
Trade certificate or vocational qualification in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, construction, welding or another relevant trade.
Previous maintenance experience within a healthcare, residential, hospitality, school or institutional environment.
Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety.
Basic fire safety or first-aid training.
