Background

The Judiciary is an independent arm of Government established under part VIII of the Constitution (Amendment) Act No. 2 of 2016. Its mission is "To administer justice to all in an independent, impartial, competent and timely manner".

In order to improve service delivery, the Judiciary in Southern Province intends to fill the vacant positions indicated below.

LOCAL COURT MESSENGER – JSS 03

  • Livingstone A3 Local Court – Livingstone District
  • Kazungula Urban Local Court
  • Shezongo Local Court
  • Chilyabufu Local Court – Itezhi-Tezhi District
  • Nalumba Local Court
  • Mungaila Local Court – Namwala District
  • Munyumbwe Local Court – Gwembe District
  • Macha Local Court
  • Singani Local Court
  • Choma Urban Local Court – Choma District

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve court processes and execute court orders as directed.
  • Assist in the execution of court-related duties.
  • Support the prosecution of contempt matters.
  • Provide security support to local courts.
  • Deliver and serve official court documents.
  • Maintain confidentiality of court matters and documents.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the court.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Full Grade 12/Form V Certificate with at least 5 credits or better, including English.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Integrity and confidentiality.
  • Physical fitness.
  • Knowledge of a local language.
  • Ability to work professionally and responsibly.
