Role Overview: Loan Officer Jobs in Lusaka and Branches

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Loan Officer will be responsible for processing loan applications efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance. This role requires verifying documentation, maintaining accurate loan records, validating customer financial information, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth loan operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify loan application documents for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to lending policies.
• Maintain precise records of loan applications, repayments, closures, and customer files.
• Collect and validate customers’ financial data to assist credit assessments.
• Support the processing and tracking of loan applications to ensure timely decisions.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
• Ensure secure filing and confidentiality of loan documentation and customer information.
• Contribute to the Loan Operations Department’s goal of operational excellence.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate.
• Diploma in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related disciplines is an advantage.
• At least two (2) years of relevant experience in banking, microfinance, or financial services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• High integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and meticulous attention to detail.
