JCB OPERATOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate JCB/backhoe loader equipment safely and efficiently.
• Carry out excavation, trenching, backfilling and earthmoving activities.
• Load and move soil, gravel, sand and other materials.
• Assist with site preparation, levelling, grading and general site works.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and ensure equipment is in good working condition.
• Follow safety procedures and instructions from the Site Supervisor/Foreman.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate. Valid Driver’s Licence.
• Valid JCB/Heavy Equipment Operator’s Permit or relevant certification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience operating JCB/backhoe loaders.
• Experience in excavation, trenching, backfilling, loading and general earthmoving.
• Knowledge of basic equipment inspection and maintenance.
• Good understanding of occupational health and safety requirements.
• Must be physically fit, responsible, sober and safety-conscious.
