Ready to be the person who keeps a growing security-services business connected, protected and moving? Panorama is looking for a practical, solutions-focused IT Officer who enjoys solving problems, supporting people and building reliable systems. From user support and branch connectivity to cybersecurity, Microsoft 365 and Odoo, your work will directly strengthen the technology behind our operations.

Make an impact from day one

  • Be the go-to problem solver for hardware, software, email, printers, internet and connectivity across Panorama locations.
  • Keep computers, networks, Wi-Fi, peripherals and approved software performing reliably.
  • Manage user accounts, access rights, Microsoft 365 or equivalent services, licences and shared resources.
  • Strengthen cybersecurity through endpoint protection, patching, backups, recovery checks and fast incident escalation.
  • Bring order and visibility to IT assets, licences, vendors, configurations and support records.
  • Help drive the Odoo rollout and support the connected technologies behind CCTV, access control and monitoring operations.

You could be a great fit if you

  • Hold a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
  • Bring two to four years of hands-on IT support experience and confidently troubleshoot Windows, hardware, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi and connectivity.
  • Understand Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365, antivirus, backups and practical cybersecurity.
  • Are organised, dependable and service-minded, with a talent for explaining technology to non-technical users.
  • Can work independently, protect confidential information and travel to branches or client sites when needed.

Stand out from the crowd: Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory, cloud platforms, Odoo or another ERP, VPNs, Starlink, CCTV/IP camera networks, access control or alarm systems will be a strong advantage. Relevant CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco or cybersecurity certifications are also welcome.

What success looks like in your first 90 days: You will build a clear picture of our IT assets, access, networks and security; strengthen backup and endpoint controls; improve support and vendor records; contribute to the Odoo rollout; and deliver an IT Infrastructure Health Report that helps shape the next priorities.

Sound like your kind of challenge? Apply through the LinkedIn vacancy with your CV and a short note telling us about the IT problem you are proudest to have solved. Join Panorama and help build the secure, dependable technology foundation our people and operations rely on.

1. ROLE PURPOSE

The IT Officer is responsible for the day-to-day operation, support, maintenance and security of Panorama Alarm Systems & Security Services Limited's information technology environment.

The role ensures that employees have reliable access to the computers, networks, internet connectivity, email, software, printers and other IT resources required to perform their duties.

The IT Officer will provide first-line and second-line technical support across Panorama's branches and operating locations and will maintain accurate records of the Company's IT assets, systems, users, licences and configurations.

The position is primarily an operational and hands-on IT role. The IT Officer will work closely with the Technical/Technology Manager on larger technology projects but will remain principally responsible for keeping Panorama's day-to-day IT environment stable, secure and functional.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. User IT Support

Provide day-to-day technical support to Panorama employees across Head Office, branches and operational locations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Diagnose and resolve computer hardware and software problems.
  • Support users with email, internet, printers, scanners and office applications.
  • Install and configure computers, laptops and other IT equipment.
  • Set up new employees with the required IT equipment and system access.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity and network issues.
  • Provide remote support to branch users where practical.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to the Technical/Technology Manager or external support providers.
  • Maintain a record of IT support requests and their resolution.

  • Wi-Fi networks.
  • Routers, switches and access points.
  • Internet connections.
  • Branch connectivity.
  • VPN and remote-access solutions where applicable.
  • Starlink and other connectivity solutions used by the Company.

Monitor network performance and promptly escalate significant outages or recurring problems.

C. Computer & Hardware Management

Maintain Panorama's computers and IT equipment in good operating condition.

Responsibilities include:

  • Desktop and laptop configuration.
  • Hardware troubleshooting.
  • Preventive maintenance.
  • Equipment upgrades.
  • Printer and peripheral support.
  • Coordination of hardware repairs.
  • Secure disposal of obsolete equipment.

The IT Officer shall maintain an accurate IT Asset Register showing equipment description, serial number, location, assigned user, acquisition date and current status.

D. User Accounts & Access Control

Administer employee access to Panorama's IT systems in accordance with approved access policies.

This includes:

  • Creating user accounts.
  • Email account administration.
  • Password resets.
  • Access-right changes.
  • Disabling access immediately when employees leave the Company.

No employee leaving Panorama should retain access to Company systems, email, data or cloud services.

E. Cybersecurity

Support the implementation of Panorama's cybersecurity controls.

Responsibilities include:

  • Antivirus and endpoint protection.
  • Operating-system and software updates.
  • Password-security standards.
  • Multi-factor authentication where implemented.
  • Monitoring suspicious user or system activity.
  • Malware prevention and response.
  • Secure configuration of computers.
  • User cybersecurity awareness.
  • Reporting suspected cybersecurity incidents immediately.

The IT Officer shall treat cybersecurity as a core operational responsibility rather than simply an IT support issue.

F. Backup & Data Protection

Ensure that approved backup processes are operating correctly.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring scheduled backups.
  • Confirming successful completion.
  • Escalating failed backups.
  • Supporting periodic recovery testing.
  • Protecting Company data from accidental deletion or unauthorised access.
  • Maintaining appropriate records of backup arrangements.

Particular care shall be taken with financial, payroll, employee, client and operational information.

G. Microsoft, Email & Cloud Services

Administer Panorama's day-to-day productivity and cloud systems.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Microsoft 365 or equivalent productivity systems.
  • Company email.
  • OneDrive/SharePoint or other approved storage platforms.
  • User licences.
  • Shared folders.
  • Distribution groups.
  • Permissions.
  • Cloud backups.

The IT Officer shall ensure that Company information is stored in approved Company systems rather than uncontrolled personal devices or accounts.

H. IT Asset, Licence & Documentation Management

Maintain accurate documentation covering Panorama's IT environment, including:

  • IT Asset Register.
  • Software Licence Register.
  • User Account Register.
  • Network diagrams.
  • Internet and connectivity providers.
  • Equipment warranties.

I. IT Procurement & Vendor Coordination

Assist with procurement of IT equipment and services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing technical specifications.
