The Zambia University-College of Technology (ZUT) is a Government owned higher learning institution established by Statutory Instrument No. 39 of 2022. The institution has continued to record growth in various areas of operation.
The University-College is based in Ndola, and offers locally and internationally accredited professional and academic programmes, and a range of other products and services, such as skills training, consultancy and software development.
ZUT seeks to recruit dedicated and innovative professionals to contribute to the education sector in Zambia.
Responsibilities or duties
Assist in implementing Human Resource policies, procedures, systems and programmes
Coordinate recruitment and selection activities, including vacancy ads, shortlisting, interviews, onboarding
Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, HR registers and HRIS
Support Performance Management System: contracting, appraisals, probation, reports
Assist in coordinating staff training and development programmes
Provide administrative support in employee relations: grievances, disciplinary, welfare
Assist in preparation of HR reports, statistics, workforce information
Support administration of leave, attendance, contracts, staff movements, promotions, transfers
Assist in coordinating general administrative services and meetings
Assist in coordinating administrative procurement and distribution of office supplies
Provide administrative support to committees and meetings including minutes
Ensure compliance with University College policies and statutory requirements
Provide timely HR and administrative support to staff, students and stakeholders
Perform any other duties assigned by the Deputy Registrar – HR and Administration
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Management or a related field (ZQF Level 7).
Membership of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) or another relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
Experience needed
Minimum of two (2) years' relevant experience in Human Resource Management and/or Administration.
