JOB VACANCY: HOSTEL MATRON
Dovecot College of Health Sciences is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced individual to join our residential community as a Hostel Matron.
As a key member of our student support network, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, disciplined, and nurturing home-away-from-home environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Welfare & Care: Monitor and support the general health, well-being, and personal development of resident students.
- Hostel Management & Discipline: Oversee daily hostel operations, enforce residential rules, and maintain a peaceful, orderly, and conducive living environment.
- Safety & Security: Coordinate with security personnel to ensure the safety of students and premises, and manage emergency protocols when necessary.
- Facility Oversight: Conduct routine inspections of hostel facilities, report maintenance needs promptly, and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Counseling & Guidance: Act as a trusted mentor and point of contact for students, offering guidance and conflict-resolution support.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience in hostel administration, nursing, social work, counseling, or a related institutional management role.
- Strong leadership skills with a firm yet compassionate approach to student discipline.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.
- A strong commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive residential culture.
