Role Summary:
The highest technical authority in the factory for sugar manufacturing, responsible for the entire process flow from cane preparation to bagging, ensuring high recovery and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Strategy: Set targets for Pol extraction, boiling house recovery, and bagasse moisture.
Quality: Ensure sugar quality meets international standards (ICUMSA).
Chemical Control: Oversee the chemical dosing (lime, sulfur, phosphoric acid) for juice clarification.
Mass Balance: Maintain strict material balances to minimize losses.
R&D: Lead initiatives for process improvement and waste reduction.
Co-generation Sync: Ensure process steam demand aligns with power generation requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Sugar Technology or Chemical Engineering.
- 25+ years of experience, with at least 5 years as Head of Department.
- Deep understanding of crystallization theory and centrifugal operations.
