2026 RECRUITMENT OF HEALTH WORKERS

The Civil Services Commission hereby invites applications from suitable qualified Health Professionals for the 2026 recruitment of 2,600 Health Workers.

Accordingly, suitably qualified and unemployed health professionals who wish to be considered for possible employment in the Ministry of Health are invited to submit applications through ZAMPOST and clearly indicate the preferred District to which they wish to be employed in the following categories:

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must:

  1. Be Zambian citizens with a valid National Registration Card (NRC).
  2. Must possess a Full Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
  3. Possess the relevant professional qualifications from recognized training institutions.
  4. Be duly registered and licensed by the relevant professional regulatory body where applicable.
  5. Be unemployed in the civil service at the time of application.
  6. Must be above 18 years and below 45 years old

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Applicants should submit the following documents:

  1. Application letter indicating the professional cadre being applied for and specifying the district of their choice (in case of intern medical doctors or intern pharmacists, the province of their choice)
  2. Certified copies of academic and professional qualifications.
  3. Certified copy of National Registration Card (NRC).
  4. Valid practicing license (where applicable).
  5. Professional registration certificate (where applicable) and
  6. Any other relevant supporting documents (E.g. Certificate from Zambia Association for Persons with Disabilities (ZAPD)
  7. Zambia Statistics Agency

MODE OF APPLICATION

Applications should be submitted through the ZAMPOST from the 14th July, 2026 to the 7th August, 2026.

Applicants are advised to ensure that all information submitted is accurate and complete. Submission of false information or forged documents shall lead to disqualification and may result in prosecution.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

  1. The Civil Service Commission and the Ministry of Health does not charge any fee at any stage of the recruitment process. This does not apply to postage fees charged by ZAMPOST.
  2. Applicants are advised to beware of fraudsters and report any requests for payment in exchange for employment opportunities or inclusion in the database.

The closing date for receipt of application by ZAMPOST is Friday 7th August, 2026.
