Position Overview

Zanaco Bank Plc is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following job aimed at contributing to the Bank's strategic vision, in the CEO's Division under the Strategy & Data at Head Office - Support Functions:

Role Description

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking highly motivated graduates with a passion for leveraging data, analytics, and emerging technologies to solve business challenges, drive innovation, and support data-driven decision-making within the Bank. Applicants must have graduated within the past four (4) years and are encouraged to include links to public online portfolios, such as GitHub repositories.

Requirements

Education

• Full Grade 12 Certificate with a Credit or better in five (5) subjects, including in English and Mathematics.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Applied Statistics, Actuarial Science, Information Systems or any other quantitative, or technical discipline.

Technical Skills

Demonstrated knowledge or practical exposure in:

• Python programming, SQL and database querying
• Data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Data analysis and statistical techniques
• Artificial Intelligence (AI), GenAI, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub co-pilot, Claude code
• Data preparation, transformation, and quality management

• An online portfolio (e.g., GitHub) or project work demonstrating technical proficiency
