Graduate Geotechnical Engineer

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for assessing the stability of slopes, waste dumps, and underground excavations. This role is critical for safe and efficient mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site investigations and geotechnical mapping of rock mass conditions.
• Install and monitor geotechnical instruments (piezometers, inclinometers, extensometers).
• Assist in the design of pit slopes and underground support systems.
• Analyze data to assess ground stability and predict failure mechanisms.
• Provide technical input for mine planning and risk assessments.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Geology (with geotech focus).
• Understanding of soil and rock mechanics.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., RocScience, Plaxis) is preferred.
• Willingness to work in operational field environments.
