Background

General Workers provide essential support across various departments, ensuring the hotel operates smoothly.

Responsibilities

• General Maintenance: Assist with basic maintenance tasks such as painting, minor repairs, and light bulb replacement.
• Groundskeeping: Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor areas, including gardens, walkways, and parking lots.
• Luggage Assistance: Help guests with luggage during check-in and check-out.
• Delivery Support: Assist with the delivery of supplies, linen, and equipment to different departments.
• Cleaning Support: Support housekeeping and cleaning teams with heavy cleaning tasks as needed.
• Event Setup: Assist in setting up and breaking down furniture and equipment for events, meetings, and functions.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety protocols and report any hazards to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Full Grade 12 Certificate.
• Relevant academic or professional qualifications for specialised positions.
• Previous experience in the hotel or hospitality industry is an added advantage.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• Applicants must be hardworking, honest, reliable, and self-motivated.
