Position Overview for Further Processing Supervisor Jobs in Lusaka

As a Further Processing Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations on the production floor, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance with safety, hygiene, and quality standards. Your leadership will be crucial in assigning tasks, monitoring production performance, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and minimize waste. This role requires close collaboration with multiple departments to resolve issues and maintain high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet targets.
• Assign staff, materials, and equipment effectively to optimize workflow.
• Ensure all production processes comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain strict adherence to quality, food safety, hygiene, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Promote good housekeeping and safety standards within the production area.
• Monitor product quality, equipment operation, and production performance metrics.
• Provide guidance and support to the production team, ensuring procedures are followed accurately.
• Address production challenges promptly and liaise with other departments for support when necessary.
• Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions without delay.
• Implement waste reduction strategies to minimize product losses and rework.
• Complete production records accurately and manage clear shift handovers.

Candidate Requirements

• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Certificate or Diploma in Production Management, Food Production, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in food processing or manufacturing, preferably in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to organize shift activities and solve routine production problems.
• Willingness to work shifts in an environment requiring prolonged standing, use of personal protective equipment, and exposure to cold temperatures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
