FLEXCUBE Middleware Analyst

Job Advert Summary

The FLEXCUBE Middleware Analyst will be responsible for the administration, support, monitoring, maintenance, and optimisation of middleware platforms supporting Oracle FLEXCUBE and related banking applications. The role ensures seamless integration between FLEXCUBE and internal and external systems, high system availability, optimal performance, and secure transaction processing across the enterprise banking ecosystem. The role also serves as a key link between application teams, infrastructure teams, database administrators, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Middleware Administration and Support

• Administer and support Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle HTTP Server and related middleware components.
• Deploy, configure and maintain middleware environments across Development, UAT, DR and Production.
• Manage WebLogic domains, clusters, managed servers and Node Manager services.
• Perform middleware health checks and capacity assessments.
• Ensure high availability and resilience of middleware platforms.

FLEXCUBE Integration Support

• Support integrations between FLEXCUBE and digital banking platforms, payment systems, SWIFT, Enterprise Service Bus and third-party applications.
• Monitor transaction flows and interface processing.
• Troubleshoot integration failures and transaction exceptions.
• Coordinate issue resolution with application vendors and business teams.

Performance Monitoring and Optimisation

• Monitor middleware performance metrics and system utilisation.
• Tune JVM parameters, connection pools, thread pools, caches and server resources.
• Optimise application performance and response times.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks proactively.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents.

Incident, Problem and Change Management

• Respond to production incidents, service disruptions and middleware alerts.
• Perform log analysis, transaction tracing and incident investigation.
• Escalate issues to Oracle and other vendors where necessary.
• Maintain incident records and prepare root cause analysis reports.
• Support deployments, patches, upgrades and configuration changes through approved change processes.
• Validate releases in test environments before production deployment.

Security, Compliance, Disaster Recovery and Documentation

• Implement middleware security best practices and manage SSL certificates and security configurations.
• Support user access audits, security reviews and vulnerability remediation activities.
• Ensure compliance with ICT policies, banking regulations and information security standards.
• Support disaster recovery preparedness, drills and failover testing for FLEXCUBE and middleware environments.
• Maintain recovery documentation, standard operating procedures, configuration documentation and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide technical knowledge transfer to support teams and business users.

Key Outputs and Success Measures

• Stable, available and efficient FLEXCUBE middleware and integration services.
• Timely resolution of incidents, problems and service disruptions.
• Effective monitoring of transaction flows, interfaces and platform performance.
• Successful implementation of system changes, upgrades, patches and releases.
• Accurate and timely reporting on system availability, incidents, risks and recommendations.
• Documented procedures, recovery plans and knowledge articles to support continuity and operational excellence.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience supporting enterprise middleware platforms.
• Experience working with Oracle FLEXCUBE Core Banking Solution.
• Experience supporting banking integrations and payment systems.
• Experience administering Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle HTTP Server.
• Experience in production support within a financial services environment.
