CAREER OPPORTUNITY
FARM MANAGER
MUNGU FARMS is a growing agricultural enterprise specialising in commercial poultry layer production and soon expanding into tomato production, is seeking a mature, energetic and results-driven Farm Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the farm.
- Oversee poultry layer production, including feeding, egg collection, flock health, hygiene and general poultry management.
- Supervise farm workers and ensure that duties are properly carried out.
- Maintain accurate farm production and operational records.
- Monitor feed, medication, equipment and other farm inputs.
- Oversee the establishment and management of tomato production.
- Ensure high standards of farm hygiene, biosecurity and general cleanliness.
- Monitor farm productivity, identify challenges and recommend practical solutions.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of farm equipment and facilities.
- Perform any other duties related to the successful management of the farm.
REQUIREMENTS
Male, mature and responsible.
- Minimum qualification: Diploma in Agriculture or any agriculture-related field. Previous experience in poultry/layer farming will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge or experience in crop production, particularly tomatoes, will be an advantage.
- Good leadership, supervisory and record-keeping skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in a farm environment.
- Must be willing to live at the farm in Kafue area.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Honest, disciplined, hardworking and committed to achieving farm production targets.
- Must have a valid practicing certificate issued by AIZ
