About the Role: ECE and Primary School Teachers Jobs in Lusaka

As a teacher at Green Carpet School, you will develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the Zambian Primary Curriculum. You will prepare schemes of work and weekly forecasts to ensure structured learning. Employing innovative teaching methodologies, you will foster learner participation and understanding while catering to diverse educational needs, including those of special education learners.

Your responsibilities will also include conducting assessments, providing constructive feedback, and supporting students’ academic progress. Additionally, you will prepare teaching aids such as charts, individual work plans, homework assignments, assessments, and end-of-term tests to enhance the learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lesson plans in line with the Zambian Primary Curriculum
• Prepare schemes of work and weekly forecasts
• Utilize innovative teaching methods to engage learners
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Support learners with diverse needs, including special education
• Create teaching materials such as charts and individual work plans
• Prepare homework, assessments, and end-of-term examinations

Qualifications and Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate with at least five credits including English, Mathematics, and a Science subject
• Diploma or Degree in Primary Education or Early Childhood Education from a recognized institution
• Registration with the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) and a valid practicing license
• Minimum of 1–2 years teaching experience preferred; fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Ability to teach in Cinyanja
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
• Enthusiasm, flexibility, and a commitment to professional growth
• Christian background is required
