Key Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in operations, contracting or a related field, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Experience leading and managing operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of drone operations, surveying, agricultural operations or GIS is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of operational planning, scheduling and productivity management.
  • Experience monitoring KPIs and preparing operational reports.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Experience managing equipment, maintenance schedules and spare parts.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting tools.
  • Ability to coordinate activities across multiple locations and teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of drone pilots and ground staff.
  • Coordinate daily drone spraying, security and survey operations.
  • Plan flight routes, transport schedules and shift patterns to maximise productivity.
  • Monitor workloads and ensure operational targets are achieved.
  • Coordinate the processing and analysis of drone survey data.
  • Produce field maps, productivity reports and land-forming designs.
  • Analyse multispectral imagery, including NDVI and RGB data.
  • Develop and support GIS solutions for operational and client requirements.
  • Monitor drone fleet operations, maintenance and service records.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and manage drone parts and spares.
  • Monitor KPIs and prepare operational reports for management.
  • Manage pilot overtime and review operational staffing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for drone operations.
  • Ensure all employees have the required equipment, tools and PPE.
  • Coordinate ground operations to minimise downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Conduct regular toolbox talks and promote safe working practices.
  • Ensure all operational incidents are reported and managed appropriately.

  • GIS, mapping or geospatial technology certification is advantageous.
  • Health and safety training or certification is beneficial.
  • Additional qualifications in project or operations management are advantageous.
