As part of the commencement of a new project in North-Western and Copperbelt Province, we invite suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the following positions:
3. Driller Assistant (06 Positions)
Job Purpose
To support the Driller in achieving production targets while maintaining high safety standards and ensuring compliance with site procedures.
Main Duties
- Assist the Driller in all drilling activities.
- Safely handle drill rods, equipment, and consumables.
- Lay out, split, mark, and store core/percussion samples according to client requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping around the drill site and equipment.
- Assist with rig mobilisations, demobilisations, and site setup activities.
- Record drilling metrics and production data accurately.
- Carry out environmental and housekeeping tasks as required.
- Promote safe working practices and report unsafe conditions.
Skills & Knowledge Required
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Previous drilling or mining experience will be an added advantage.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding manual work.
- Ability to work in remote locations and on rotational shifts.
- Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills.
- Good communication and record-keeping abilities.
- Valid driver's licence will be an added advantage.
