This full-time role offers a permanent opportunity to contribute within a dynamic Civil and Mechanical Design environment, producing detailed engineering and construction drawings that support critical infrastructure projects.

Position Overview: Civil Mechanical Drafter Jobs in Kitwe

As a Civil/Mechanical Drafter at CEC, you will be responsible for generating precise architectural, civil, and mechanical drawings. Your work will directly support building and fabrication supervision, inspection, and certification through commissioning phases. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality technical documentation aligned with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce architectural, building, civil, and mechanical draughting drawings using CAD software
• Create engineering and construction drawings that meet industry standards and project requirements
• Support building and fabrication supervision, including inspection and certification through commissioning
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to update and revise drawings as necessary

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 School Certificate
• Diploma in Civil, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering; or Technician Certificate in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Fabrication Engineering with relevant drafting experience
• Design Drafting Certificate (CAD) in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering is an advantage
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Civil/Mechanical Design or Drawing Office environment
• Proven skills across architectural, building, civil, and mechanical draughting disciplines
• Experience in building and fabrication supervision, inspection, and certification through commissioning
• Strong capability in producing detailed engineering and construction drawings
