Position Overview: Depot Manager Jobs in Ndola

As Depot Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all depot activities, ensuring smooth and compliant operations across receiving, storage, and fuel dispensing processes. This role demands leadership in managing wet stock control, logistics coordination, and regulatory compliance while fostering a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise depot operations including receiving, offloading, storage, and fuel dispensing activities.
• Manage wet stock control, conduct inventory reconciliations, and investigate any discrepancies.
• Oversee logistics and bulk fleet operations to guarantee timely and efficient fuel distribution.
• Coordinate transport operations and optimize fleet turnaround times to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure strict compliance with petroleum industry regulations and transport standards.
• Promote and enforce Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSSEQ) standards.
• Lead emergency response planning, organize fire safety drills, and conduct incident investigations.
• Mentor, supervise, and evaluate depot staff to enhance team performance.
• Manage depot operational budgets and support initiatives aimed at cost efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Technologist Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ managerial experience in fuel depot management, terminal operations, or bulk petroleum logistics.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Zambian downstream petroleum regulatory framework, including ERB, ZEMA, RTSA, ZABS, and the Uniform Petroleum Pricing (UPP) mechanism.
• Proficiency with ERP software and depot stock accounting systems; experience with the Jibu System is advantageous.
• Strong skills in stock auditing, vendor management, crisis management, and stakeholder engagement.
