JOB DESCRIPTION – CROSS-BORDER LOGISTICS OFFICER
Position: Cross-Border Logistics Officer
Department: Logistics
Reports To: Operations Manager / Logistics Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor cross-border transportation of goods and equipment.
- Prepare and verify customs, import/export, and transport documentation.
- Liaise with customs authorities, clearing agents, transporters, and clients.
- Track shipments and ensure timely delivery across borders.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and logistics activities.
- Resolve delays, documentation issues, and other transportation challenges.
- Prepare logistics reports and provide regular updates to management.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in logistics, preferably cross-border operations.
- Knowledge of customs and border clearance procedures.
- Good communication, coordination, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
