Country Sales Manager

The Role

We are entering the Zambian market and seeking a sales leader to drive our commercial strategy. You will own the full P&L for Zambia, build distributor networks, manage key accounts, and lead a local sales team. You’ll explore export opportunities to neighbouring SADC countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales plans to achieve volume and revenue targets.
• Recruit, train, and manage a high-performance sales force.
• Ensure 100% compliance with Tobacco Control Act and excise tax regulations.
• Monitor competitors (BAT, JTI) and implement anti-illicit-trade measures.
• Provide market intelligence and accurate forecasts to regional HQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).
• 8+ years of sales management experience in FMCG, with at least 5 years in tobacco/cigarettes.
• Proven track record in Zambia or SADC markets – deep understanding of local trade, consumer behaviour, and tax policies.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• English fluent;
