Position: Control Room Operator

Location: Zambia
Job Summary:
The Control Room Operator will monitor and control plant operations from the control room, ensuring production processes operate safely, efficiently, and according to established operating parameters.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor plant processes, equipment, alarms, and operating parameters.
Operate control systems and adjust processes as required.
Identify abnormal operating conditions and respond appropriately.
Communicate operational issues to supervisors and maintenance teams.
Maintain accurate production and operational records.
Follow standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
Coordinate with field operators to ensure smooth plant operations.
Monitor equipment performance and report faults promptly.
Assist with start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures.
Maintain effective communication during shift handovers.
Requirements:
Certificate or diploma in Process Control, Electrical/Instrumentation, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Previous control room or industrial plant experience is an advantage.
Good understanding of industrial processes and control systems.
Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to remain alert and make sound decisions under pressure.
Willingness to work shifts.
