Community Liaison Officer

Contract Type: 10-Month Contract (Renewable subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds)

Community Liaison Officers (8)

• Coordinate community mobilization through outreach programs and supervise Community Health Workers to improve awareness and uptake of HIV prevention and treatment activities.
• Undertake and supervise community activities for TB contact tracing, defaulter tracing, and active case finding.
• Provide primary and secondary prevention programs including PrEP/PEP, condom distribution, and GBV/LIVES interventions to control new infections.
• Monitor the performance of all Community HIV Program targets and facilitate implementation of appropriate interventions.
• Supervise Community Health Workers to promote retention in care and maintain the continuum of HIV prevention and treatment services.
• Coordinate Action Groups and Community-Based Organizations to create strong linkages between the community and health facility structures.
• Supervise the provision of HIV Testing Services at the community level according to National HIV Consolidated Guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant Grade 12 School Certificate
• Relevant Diploma, Degree, or Professional Qualification for the position applied for
• Valid registration and practising licence with the relevant professional body (where applicable)
• Relevant work experience as specified for the position
• Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, and computer skills
• ZAQA-verified academic qualifications will be an added advantage
