As part of the commencement of a new project in North-Western and Copperbelt Province, we invite suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the following positions:

5. Chef (02 Position)

Job Purpose

To prepare high-quality meals, maintain food safety standards, and provide an excellent dining experience for employees and visitors.

Main Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and recipes.
  • Ensure meals are presented and served to high-quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
  • Ensure proper food storage, handling, and stock rotation.
  • Comply with food safety, health, and sanitation standards.
  • Minimise food wastage and manage kitchen resources efficiently.
  • Assist with menu planning and development.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely.
  • Supervise kitchen assistants where required.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Certificate or Diploma in Food Production, Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a camp, hospitality, or mining environment.
  • Knowledge of menu planning and kitchen operations.
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
