Bank Teller

LUSAKA

To act as the front-line representative of the bank, providing efficient cash handling, processing transactions accurately, and delivering excellent customer service to clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and bill payments accurately
• Handle cash, count and balance cash drawer at start and end of shift
• Verify customer identity and authenticate transactions to prevent fraud
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints or refer to relevant departments
• Cross-sell bank products and services (accounts, loans, mobile banking)
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information
• Prepare daily transaction reports and reconcile any discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma / Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience as a Teller or in customer service (banking experience is an advantage)
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High integrity and trustworthy
• Proficient in computer systems and banking software
• Ability to work under pressure and handle large amounts of cash
