POSITION: AUTO ELECTRICIAN X 1
Wideway International based in Kitwe, Kamfinsa area along the Kitwe-Ndola dual-carriage way seeks the services of a qualified and experienced Auto Electrician to join the maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in both heavy-duty as well as light-duty vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair vehicle electrical systems including wiring, lighting, ignition, and battery systems
Diagnose faults using specialized diagnostic tools and software
Maintain and service alternators, starters, sensors, and electronic control units (ECUs)
Ensure compliance with Zambian roadworthiness and safety regulations
Keep accurate maintenance records and adhere to workshop safety protocols
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years proven hands-on experience in automotive electrical systems
Qualification: Craft or Advanced Craft Certificate in Automotive Mechanics, Automotive Electrical or related field
Drivers Licence: Valid Driver’s Licence.
Professional Affiliation: Affiliation to the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) is desired.
Work Ethic: Teamwork, strong problem-solving skills, strict adherence to workshop safety and safety practices.
