The employer is a Lusaka based entity and seeks to recruit the following:
2. ASSISTANT STORES OFFICER
JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Stores Officer, the incumbent will assist the Stores Officer operate stores and ensure that all received stock items are properly maintained and accounted for.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for allocation / transfer of stocks, conducting routine inspection to ensure reconciliation of physical stock
- Maintain proper and accurate documentation for stock movements, receipts, and issues.
- Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory levels.
- Raise purchase requisitions for stock purchases and replenishments.
- Receive, inspect and verify the quantity and quality of items received from local and international suppliers and check for damages and shortages. Cost stocks when they are received.
- Issue stock to users against authorized stores requisitions.
- Ensure accurate issuance of inventory products and delivery of products to clients
- Raise the goods received noted (GRNs) when goods are received in stores.
- Ensure that goods are always in safe custody, providing protection against deterioration, damage and breakages.
- Prepartion of monthly Inventory reports.
- Identify, note and immediately reports damaged, missing items or wrongly supplied items to the supervisor for action.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) “O” levels including English and Mathematics.
- Diploma in Purchasing and Supply.
- One (1) year relevant work experience in a similar field.
- Member of the Zambia institute of Purchasing and Supply.
