Contract Type: 10-Month Contract (Renewable subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds)

ART Providers – Clinical Officers (10)

• Provide clinical care to HIV-infected patients, including diagnosis and management of opportunistic infections (OIs).
• Determine eligibility for ART using the latest guidelines, initiate and monitor clients on ART, and manage treatment failure and side-effects.
• Manage PMTCT clients, including Early Infant Diagnosis (EID) and HEI follow-up.
• Initiate and monitor Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP).
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure smooth flow of services from outpatient department to exit pharmacy.
• Ensure correct diagnosis and management of ailments, screening and managing OIs.
• Provide leadership and supervision of junior clinical staff.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant Grade 12 School Certificate
• Relevant Diploma, Degree, or Professional Qualification for the position applied for
• Valid registration and practising licence with the relevant professional body (where applicable)
• Relevant work experience as specified for the position
• Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, and computer skills
• ZAQA-verified academic qualifications will be an added advantage
