Contract Type: 10-Month Contract (Renewable subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds)
ART Providers – Clinical Officers (10)
- Provide clinical care to HIV-infected patients, including diagnosis and management of opportunistic infections (OIs).
- Determine eligibility for ART using the latest guidelines, initiate and monitor clients on ART, and manage treatment failure and side-effects.
- Manage PMTCT clients, including Early Infant Diagnosis (EID) and HEI follow-up.
- Initiate and monitor Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP).
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure smooth flow of services from outpatient department to exit pharmacy.
- Ensure correct diagnosis and management of ailments, screening and managing OIs.
- Provide leadership and supervision of junior clinical staff.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant Grade 12 School Certificate
- Relevant Diploma, Degree, or Professional Qualification for the position applied for
- Valid registration and practising licence with the relevant professional body (where applicable)
- Relevant work experience as specified for the position
- Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, and computer skills
- ZAQA-verified academic qualifications will be an added advantage
