About the Accountant Role – Accountant Jobs in Lusaka

As an Accountant at W&S SERVICES, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of our financial operations. Your core responsibilities will include preparing monthly management accounts, maintaining precise accounting records, and managing statutory compliance. This position demands strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work with financial data to support sound decision-making and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and detailed financial reports to support business performance reviews.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and manage the general ledger efficiently.
• Process payments, receipts, and conduct thorough bank reconciliations regularly.
• Prepare and submit statutory returns, including PAYE, NAPSA, NHIMA, and VAT, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support financial planning.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies and legal regulations at all times.

Qualifications and Candidate Profile

We welcome candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
• Graduates from the University of Zambia (UNZA), Mulungushi University, or Copperbelt University (CBU) are preferred.
• Possession of or progress towards a professional accounting qualification such as ZICA is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and high integrity in handling financial information.
