Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for managing the Company's financial records and ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies. The role oversees day-to-day accounting operations, including financial reporting, reconciliations, inventory accounting, budgeting, and statutory compliance, while supporting management with timely financial information for effective decision-making.

Key Qualifications and Competencies

• Full Grade 12 Certificate with Five (5) credits or better.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5–10 years' relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and financial management.
• Demonstrated experience at supervisory or management level.
• Registered member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
• Sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Zambian tax regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent reporting and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial reporting and analysis.
• Working knowledge of Sage Evolution 200 (added advantage).
• Experience in inventory accounting and stock reconciliation (added advantage).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver's license.
